ZOLL emsCharts NOW 12.0

Application Core functionality

This section includes new features, functionality, and bug fixes.

General

• Added support for referring and receiving location Common Addresses.

  Note: When documenting a Pickup or Destination Type of 'Other', a new Location field will display containing a list of your Service's Common Addresses to choose from.

  

• Multiple data points saved in a "chip" can now be edited.

  Note: After saving data that rolls into a chip, such as the Insurance Information in the Billing section, tap on the chip (anywhere but the x) to edit the data. Make sure to save again after editing chip data.

  

• Added support for alphanumeric documentation of Medication Concentration.

  

• The user logged into the NOW application can no longer be removed as a crew member.

• Fixed an issue with the backspace button in free-text fields.

• Fixed an issue with voice-to-text on Android devices.

• Fixed an issue where details from a cardiac Quick Action Button would not appear in the Timeline.

• Fixed an issue with loading long picklists.

Scene Description

• You can now document other EMS or public safety agencies on scene using the new 'Other Agencies on Scene ' field in the Scene Description section of NOW.

  

Pertinent Negatives & Not Values

• Added support for Pertinent Negatives & Not Values to the following sections:

  • Cardiac details

  • Complaints

  • Destination Address

  • Exposure

  • Factors Affecting Care

  • Impression

  • Initial Assessment

  • Injury details

  • Medical History

  • Patient Medications

  • Pickup Address

  • Scene Description

  • Shift Startup

Attachments

• Document scanning: you can now capture high fidelity scans in ZOLL emsCharts NOW.

  • Scanned documents are saved/attached directly to the PCR.

  • Scans are not saved locally to the device.

  • A maximum of five scans can be attached to a PCR.

  

• Fixed an issue that prevented driver's licenses containing multiple barcodes from successfully scanning.

Signatures

• 'Ambulance Crew Signature' has been removed from the Section I Standard Signature.

• Fixed an issue for time display of Custom Signatures based on agency time zone.

Known issues

Procedure Defaults

There are three Procedure Defaults items currently not working in ZOLL emsCharts. Setting a default value for these items will not populate that value in the PCR:

• 'Lead Change' field for Cardiac Procedures

• 'Verification' field for Intubation Procedures

• All defaults for Ventilator Procedures

Configuration: Command Facility > Code Tables >

• Procedure Defaults - Adolescent (12-18)

• Procedure Defaults - Adult (18+)

• Procedure Defaults - Child (2-12)

• Procedure Defaults - Infant (<2)

Past Medical History

Only “Basic” and “ICD/NEMSIS Basic” configurations for Surgical History Layout are supported with version 11.0.

Actions and Quick Action Buttons

Actions and associated Quick Actions available for Critical Care Staffing level will not be displayed in ZOLL emsCharts NOW version 11.0.

USNG

GPS coordinates with seven or more decimal places of precision may not properly calculate corresponding USNG fields.

P2O error

Users may experience a 'P2O' error when uploading a chart if any data collected is either incomplete or not in the expected format for "Add Action" Timeline items.

Shift Startup page

Users will experience ~30 seconds of loading on the Shift Startup page the first time using ZOLL emsCharts NOW version 11.0 while SNOMED codes are loading. This will only impact the initial 11.0 session on each device.
